We are looking for a client-first, operationally excellent, and strategically focused Product Manager to join VeriFone’s global product organization focusing on the Brazilian market.

The ideal candidate must possess the skills and experience to lead and drive innovative market solutions while serving as an expert in the financial services market.

You must focus on and create plans to address market and competitive trends in the electronic payments arena. As part of the product team, you will partner closely with the marketing communications, sales, and corporate product teams to drive strategy, messaging and positioning for the products across the region.

You will conceive and support new and innovative solution sets and enable sales and account teams with tools and messaging to articulate the value.

Working with the regional GM, senior marketing and sales leaders, you will drive the product strategy and play a key role in the overall business strategy.

A successful candidate must be a dynamic self-starter, with a unique combination of outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, analytical skills including financial and business modeling, along with a creative and innovative mindset oriented to identifying, developing and integrating technology with partners.

They must be highly comfortable managing through significant complexity, both internally and externally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Works closely with development project managers to define and differentiate the product / product family by developing realistic development plan and schedule, creating product specifications, and evaluating and prioritizing requests for product changes and enhancements
  • Works closely with Sales, Marketing, Communications and leads client and product initiatives defining and competitively differentiating the product or product family and ensures the product’s success.
  • Includes driving sales strategy and being involved special training, special promotions, designing demos and developing training courses

  • Maintains close relationship to clients for awareness of customers’ needs and perspective innovation and revenue opportunities
  • Assists creation of release materials and assists in new product release.
  • Operates under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment
  • Coordinated management of all products within a product family or product line
  • Knowledge & Experience :

  • Payments industry experience in Product Management specifically focused on Countertop, Portable and Mobile Point of Sale solutions
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the financial services industry with a focus on merchant acquiring
  • Proven product management experience with Credit, Debit, Gift, Loyalty and electronic transaction solutions
  • University degree in Business, Marketing or Technology Master’s Degree a plus
  • At least 5 years in a similar role of product management or product marketing in the payments / commerce field
  • Proven track record in regional or global high-tech product management
  • Skills / Abilities :

  • Must thrive in a contributing manager environment and willing to contribute at a management and individual contributor level
  • Energetic, passionate, innovative and focused on building optimal product and services solutions
  • Strong financial acumen and product and revenue analytics
  • Excellent English writing and communications skills required
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment
  • Additional information :

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% (to US and other areas of South America)
