Amazon is seeking an Invoice Receiving Analyst to join its Brazil Finance Operations Team in São Paulo to assist with accounts payable invoice input and processing.
The Invoice Receiving Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and researching tax issues, preparing and reviewing work papers, and gathering support for withholding tax calculation, reporting and audits.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to analyze and model data, a strong attention to detail, and can work as a team player in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Primary job duties include :
Analyze contracts and purchase orders from local and foreign vendors;
Provide document input, including debit note, boleto, NF-e, NFS-e, CT-e, CC-e, and international invoices;
Review for proper tax calculation regarding ICMS, Pis, Cofins, IPI, INSS, ISS, IRRF, PCC, and Cide;
Review proper account classification on documents;
Reviewing tax aspects of vendor master data;
Research tax issues and prepare technical documentation;
Assist on process improvements with tax technology team to facilitate automation of recurring calculations and process improvements;
Perform special projects and provide assistance as needed.
2+ years of experience in indirect taxation and basic accounting knowledge;
Bachelor’s degree in Tax Law, Accounting, Finance or related discipline;
Understanding of tax and accounting concepts;
Tax research skills;
Excellent written and oral communication skills, English speaker;
Excellent use of technology with various tax compliance software; and knowledge of Oracle Financial Applications R12.
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word;
Knowledge in P2P cycle of vendor master data, contract analysis, purchase orders, and accounts payable;
Ability to work independently with limited general supervision, effectively prioritizing competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
