Position Title : Industrial Operations Manager Baby Division

Job summary :
This is a hands-on position that is responsible for maximizing daily production (up time), increasing productivity, minimizing residuals, auditing inbound and outbound materials, and producing commodities of quality levels acceptable to buyers.
This position plays an integral part in plant operations, special projects, and has P&L responsibility for developing and achieving budgetary and production / supply chain targets.
Job description : PLANT MANAGEMENT
Lead plant production and maintenance personnel in day to day activities to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of equipment and facilities.
Ensure the efficient processing of incoming recyclable materials while maintaining end product quality standards.
Ensure preventative maintenance and repairs of all equipment to minimize downtime.
Works with Plant Maintenance Supervisor in planning, budgeting, organizing resources, executing work plans, monitors production and quality, co-
ordinates priorities, resolves issues and participates in work schedules.
Plans, organizes, implements and monitors work schedules / external suppliers consistent with the normal needs of the plant.
Assume P&L responsibility including the development and achievement of budgetary and cash flow goals to ensure the long-
term viability of the plant.
Ensure site compliance to all labor, safety, and environmental regulations.
Prepare management reporting as required.
Ensure that H&S requirements are being met by supporting and participating in regular H&S meetings.PLANT COORDINATION & STAFF MANAGEMENT -
In conjunction with Finance, Marketing and Sales : In conjunction with HQ and Technical Operations in particular, contributes to the definition and the execution of the plant’s strategy
Provides HQ and Technical Operations with detailed analysis of the plant’s mix (strategy, investment, organization); builds change scenarios taking into consideration HQ and Technical Operations’ will to change the plant’s mix.
Act as a leader towards Plant management team, provides ad hoc support to managers
Hire, direct, coach and mentor staff to ensure performance targets are being met.
Ensures that all staff subordinates are suitably trained / qualified / licensed for the various tasks they must complete.
Provides technical and management support for the development of new projects / products
Ensure fluid communication on the plant itself and towards HQ.
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
Guarantees that projects undertaken on the plant are under control : timing, cost, resources.
Supports and participates in continuous improvement activities and dedicated projects
Leads projects dedicated to new product Development.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a plant management role, ideally in the injection molding industry
Demonstrated experience in production planning, logistics and equipment maintenance.
Proven track record of leading and influencing projects within a complex international matrix
Proven track record of proposing and executing change scenarios impacting the existing plant mix ( strategy, investment, organization)
Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain staffing levels at an appropriate level to minimize costs.
Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal, teambuilding and oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization in a multi-cultural environment.
Strong financial, mathematical and analytical skills.
Solid computer skills with proficiency in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel.
