As one of our client’s Field Technicians, you will be responsible for collecting detailed technical information about existing telecommunications equipment and facilities and other utilities to support Outside Plant engineering projects.
Training for this position should be minimal; if only to ensure specific client conditions are met. You will conduct field and site visits to collect relevant project information, including exact measurements of existing equipment, site details, cross-connect inventory, digital images, staking, etc.
You are expected to read and interpret client cable records and work requests as well as to collect pertinent information to apply for permits and easements.
You will also submit an organized job package for each project that could include maps, field notes, easement documents, power applications and digital images.
technical degree preferred.2-3 years’ experienceKnowledge of telecommunications plant and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is expectedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBasic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
