The SGI Country Manager (Brazil) will be required to represent Scientific Games in Brazil as the company, work closely with the JV to fulfill its contractual obligations to provide a full range of services in respect of the design and supply of instant lottery tickets for the duration of the 15 years?
operating license period.
Drawing upon the global resources of Scientific Games and supported by a team of experienced lottery and gaming professionals based in the US and Chile, the Country Manager will act as the first point of contact for all matters relating to our lottery and gaming business execution and development in Brazil.
This individual will be required to represent Scientific Games at all organizational levels and work with a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders across multiple corporate and national cultures.
Maximize both the revenue and profit for Scientific Games, and developing a relationship of trust and open cooperation with the partners in the Joint Venture.
Be responsible for the achievement of the overall financial targets, and the development of the weekly, monthly and annual sales forecasts
Develops and recommends the business objectives, plans and programs that are complementary to JV?s strategies, including new game launches, enhancements and changes as well as promotions for instants product portfolio.
Prepares monthly account review reports including financial and sales forecasts report, R&O report
Communicates, escalates and follows-up on requests from JV, the government and the market that require additional attention, support and visibility
Identify new opportunities for both lottery and gaming business for Scientific Games
Act as a trusted advisor to the JV for all matters pertaining to the implementation of the new instant lottery and the subsequent day-to-day operation of the instant lottery in Brazil.
Work closely with the Account team in game development which will be designed to achieve highly aggressive growth targets.
Participate the market research activities on behalf of Scientific Games to ensure that appropriate local market research is carried out in line with pre-agreed schedules and content.
Assist with the identification and recruitment of the Master Distributor and / or other key business partners
Liaise with our Account Management teams in Chile and the US to ensure that appropriate instant ticket stock is manufactured, shipped and delivered to Brazil in line with a pre-agreed production and shipping schedules.
Liaise with the appointed personnel in JV to go through the custom clearance in accordance with prevailing customs regulations, and to ensure the timely transit of ticket shipments into the indicated destinations in line with a pre-agreed inventory allocation plan
Monitor instant game performance on a weekly basis and periodically present appropriate sales reports to the management of SGI.
Handle all complaints in relation to product and service quality via interaction with Quality Assurance personnel.
Assist with the setting up of the business and operation facility in Brazil
Assist with the identification of suitable courier companies within Brazil to ensure the secure delivery of instant ticket stock to retailers throughout the country.
Assist with the identification of suitable various service companies that can provide retailer maintenance services, Tele-sell, customer services, advertising & promotion, translation services
Ensure that the company is fully compliant with all relevant local financial, regulatory and legislative requirements whilst conducting its business in Brazil.
Adhere to company policies and procedures in respect of health and safety, environmental matters and security (both general and computer-related.)
Adhere to company Code of Conduct and Compliance policies.
Position Requirements / Qualifications :
Bachelor or Master Degree in Business
Preferably with 10+ years business management or marketing management working experience. The related experience in the Lottery or FMCG industry is a plus
Excellent business sense with regional experience and knowledge in franchise business / joint venture and international retailing
Excellent sales and negotiation skills
Great vision, self-motivated, excellent drive and enthusiastic
Ability to work effectively with senior level management of Scientific Games and the JV as well as the government officials
Be a self-starter and able to work well independently or in a group environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Portuguese and English
Capable of working within a complex, fast moving and fluid commercial environment with the highest levels of professionalism, diplomacy and cultural sensitivity
Positive and self-motivated attitude and ability to work with others
