Job Overview :

Perform the tasks that involve the search andselection of suppliers, perform small values purchases, to keep updated SCMreports, control payments releases and compilation of simple contractualdocuments, administration, expediting the delivery of materials and simpleservices requested, until their final acceptance.

KeyResponsibilities / Accountabilities :

  • Elaboration and expediting ofQuotation Requests for materials and not complex services;
  • Evaluation of CommercialProposals;
  • Preparation and issuance, forSuppliers, of the Business Clarification Agenda;
  • Sending of technicalclarification schedules issued by Engineering;
  • Negotiation with the supplier, ofthe best conditions for purchase;
  • Equalization of the proposedconditions and preparation of Comparative Price Maps and Recommendations forpurchase;
  • Elaboration of Purchase Orders(POs), according to standards and models;
  • Issuance of reviews of the POsand diligence of the acquisition until delivery.

    Follow up with suppliers theemissions and deliveries within the contractual deadlines of the documentationestablished in the Requisitions of Materials and Lists of Documents and proceedwith the processing of this documentation (including internally withEngineering, Inspection and Quality).

    Control and issuance of thepayments releases.

    Ensure proper custody ofPurchases Processes Document.

    Act according to the principlesof quality, HSE and MCDermott procedures.

    Daily interface with the variousareas involved in the project.

    Engage the Inspection or Qualityteam whenever necessary.

    Participate in the projectmeetings for which you are invited.

    Elaboration and issuance of theSCM reports.

    Control of Invoices.

    Update the Supply ControlWorksheet according to established events.

    Basic Qualifications :

    Minimum Degreequalification in Administration or bachelor degree in technical area.

    7 years plus, a minimumof purchasing, material and material logistics work experience, of which threeyears directly concerned with Offshore / Subsea Engineering and Constructionprojects.

    Portuguese(native ou fluent) and English (advanced to fluent)

    Needs to be a self-starter.

    Ability to plan the work on time,with compromise and accuracy in the tasks carried out.

    Ability to interact withsuppliers and clients, ability to deal with the people, independent of the hierarchical,professional or social level, influencing constructively and demonstratingrespect to individuality, understanding, coexistence.

    Capacity to structure andmaintain the routines of the process in accordance with the establishedprocedures, as well as contributing to the optimization and improvement ofexisting procedures.


    Ability to negotiate diversematters with internal and external clients or suppliers, seeking to achievebalance between the parties.

    Negotiates and meets deadlinesagreed with the internal and external customer, not compromising the companywith goals that cannot be achieved, meeting their demands and bringing positiveresults to both parties.
