The Digital User Services is part of the ISD / Core Services team, leads significant technology initiatives for Mars Inc.
such as the Windows 10 / Office 365 Migration, SCCM Design, messaging, collaboration tools, etc. Rapid changes within the end user computing environments continue to create sustained demand to drive the evolution and integration of Digital Technologies with other technologies.
This DT role will be a critical component of the delivery of those technology developments and services. This position will also highly contribute and provide input into the strategy definition and all the deployments for the Digital User Services areas.
The role holder is responsible for the delivery of IT infrastructure projects as part of a project team consisting of CS / ISD, the business and contracted resources.
Using the deep technical understanding of infrastructure, this role will sense check if new solutions and significant changes are fit for purpose at the business units and end users communities
Strategic Delivery :
Single point of contact globally for Digital User technology deployment, and standards.
Support the Delivery of medium-term (3-5 year) roadmaps for the Digital User Services in the roadmap / catalog and partnering with external providers in driving us toward the roadmap (through on-going prioritization and execution of project activities)
Stays at forefront of industry trends by developing close relationships with suppliers (e.g. Microsoft, etc.), attending trade shows, and networking with peers.
Participates in commercial and technical vendor strategy reviews by consolidating business network requirements, potential improvements, and strategic input.
Assists in the Benchmark of costs against current industry standards, assess areas of improvements and drive relevant subsequent actions to maintain cost competitiveness
Provide alignment of team members’ objectives with the goals and objectives of the overall organization
Project Management :
Develops and deploys in-house Digital User solutions and work with external providers (e.g. Microsoft) in testing and deploying vendor provided services.
Work closely with Architecture teams (EA) and Operational teams (e.g. ENS, Enterprise Cloud) on support hand-off, knowledge transfer and in support of continuous improvement programs.
Provides direction to other Digital User analysts and technical contractors in area.
Service Delivery :
Helps to develop the service definitions (with Microsoft) and represent global input into subsequent service evolution (description, scope, tiers, levels, cost structure).
5+ years’ work experience in large corporate environment developing and managing End / Digital User technology services such as desktop management, email, instant messaging, mobility, etc.
Demonstrable understanding of business process and change management.
Demonstrated highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, including working with both information technology professionals and business customers, strong written and verbal skills.
Working knowledge IT architecture and IT governance.
Working knowledge of Commercial sourcing and vendor management.
