Briefly, the post-doctoral fellow will work on a project that aims to elucidate, translationally, how a liver mitochondrial membrane protein (MTCH2) can participate in the hepatic lipid accumulation.
Further, we will try to understand if this mechanism can be another signaling pathway by which physical exercise promotes its beneficial effects in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
The selected candidate will be based in the School of Applied Sciences of the University of Campinas (FCA-UNICAMP) in Limeira, state of São Paulo, Brazil.
It is a prerequisite that the candidate has an educational background (undergraduate, master's and in the health area, presents previous experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques, such as recombinant DNA technology and analysis of gene expression.
Moreover, it is desirable that the candidate has knowledge about CRISPR / Cas9, Cre / LoxP and primary cell culture techniques.
Finally, the candidate does not need to have previous knowledge / experience with exercise.
The selection process will consist of the analysis of the candidate's application documents and interviews with those selected.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
