Expedia Group is hiring a Market Insights Manager for all our key brands including Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo, reporting to the LATAM Market Insights Lead.
The role is to be the custodian of traveler empathy for LATAM travelers, and distill impactful insights to the rest of Expedia Group teams.
Not all markets are the same, the way we live and travel is different across markets around the world, therefore it is key that we understand local customers to achieve local relevance and global scale.
The Insights team is part of Retail Local Markets (RLM) and sits within the Marketing Organisation. The role of RLM is to empower the business to win locally.
Through leading geographic prioritization, market activation levers, and local market and customer insight shared with our Expedia Group brands.
The RLM team partners with other global teams including Brand, Customer Marketing, Supply, and Product, on select opportunities and key outcomes.
What you’ll do :
Generate customer (traveler), partner (supplier), market & competitor insights to drive the LATAM agenda
Supervise the macro environment, including market trends and the tracking of local competitor sets
Build relevant insights in the form of hypothesis and problem statements, that drive activations, and strategies for the market
Define research priorities; supervise trends and quality / availability of supply
Analyze and model data and produce ready to deploy insights with relevant recommendations
Build insight reports that are scalable across other markets
Define supply needs to meet traveler requirements for all lines of business incl. flights, accommodation (hotels / holiday rentals), packages, car hire, activities
Localize campaigns crafted by the global brand and customer marketing teams, ensuring that the language, tone, and content meet the local traveler sentiment
Provide product analysis based on use cases for local travelers, feeding the global product organization with requirements for locally relevant improvements, tools, and features
Who you are :
You have an analytical mind, shown strong attention to detail, the ability to analyze customer data
You have strong know-how of using Excel, Tableau, SQL, and Google Analytics
You can simplify by drawing clear insights and are able to highlight the key items to provide to relevant partners
Ability to think strategically, to sequence and to prioritize actions to drive business results
You are a creative and results-oriented problem solver with a can-do attitude, and a bias for action
The ability to work with multi-functional teams to drive execution against project achievements
You put yourself in the shoes of customers
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and influencing skills

Fluent Portuguese and English are a requirement, Spanish is a BIG plus
