LATAM WKO Client Office organization is seeking a highly talented ED to lead the KYC middle office team in support of LATAM franchise across line of Businesses.
The team supports client coverage and the fulfilment of AML / KYC requirements for new on-boarding and periodic renewal in partnership with Bankers across LATAM countries.
This Senior KYC Manager will report to the LATAM Head of WKO Client Office.
Job Description
We are looking for a leader who can forge excellent stakeholder relationship, seamlessly manage a dynamic book of work with outstanding transparency, effectively communicate complex KYC requirements & process demands and build an outstanding client service team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
On-boarding of New Clients and Management of on time Periodic Renewal with speed and seamless client experience
Develop strong partnership with KYC owners, desk heads, compliance and other stakeholders
Continuously assess and proactively identify gaps in the KYC on-boarding & renewal process and develop strategies to prevent future control gaps & adverse audit results
Simplify and engineer robust operational processes and systems that will reduce offline due diligence processes and increase traceability of KYC disposition
Develop sustainable KYC practitioner skills at supervisory level and instil resiliency of habit that fosters relentless focus on attention to detail and operational excellence
Coach & develop the existing team to the next level, attract new talent that significantly increases the overall bench strength and support strong performance management practices
Data driven approach and relentless focus on driving key performance indicator improvements for quality, timeliness and client service
Manage special projects, including remediation and others, as directed by regulators, internal audit, etc.
Qualification & skills include - Requirements include, but are not limited to :
Strong client focus and interpersonal leadership, partnership and influencing skills
Ability to effectively communicate complex policy and operational concepts to both senior management and junior operational staff
Ability to interpret and apply regulatory and compliance policies and procedures when establishing guidelines, metrics, and processes
Strong understanding of capital markets products and how they effects AML and KYC considerations
Ability to engineer and enhance operational processes
Significant experience in securities operations, compliance, audit, or management experience, preferably in Corporate and Investment Banking
BS / BA Degree; MBA or other graduate degree is a plus
