Role Summary :
In this position, you will primarily demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment.
The successful candidate utilizes experience or labor relations expertise to solve problems, develops and executes objectives for self and others, and has the ability to effect short-
term and some long-term business goals.
Specific Scope / Client Groups : all Product Companies in BHGE Brazil
Essential Responsibilities :
Provide day-to-day Union Relations support for an assigned location including the negotiation of all collective bargaining agreements and dispute resolution at the terminal step of the grievance procedure.
Represent the company at all legal proceedings as it pertains to Union Relations and represent the company in Union Relations matters with unions at a designated site(s).
Provide advice and counsel to management, Human Resource / Union Relations direct or indirect reports on contract language interpretation and other Union policies, practices, and procedures.
Negotiate the collective bargaining agreements, and terminal stage grievances.
Assist the Legal Operation with all legal matters pertaining to the Union(s) such as arbitration hearings, National Labor Review hearings, discipline review boards, etc.
Assist other functional support groups such as Compensation, Employment, Benefits, etc. in matters pertaining to union represented employees.
Establish and promote a cooperative and collaborative management employee work environment through the personal exercise of positive climate setting strategies and practices.
Qualifications / Requirements :
At least 10 years of experience in human resources including labor-management relations work.
Legal authorization to work in Brazil is required
Must be willing to travel, as required (15%)
Desired Characteristics :
Master’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred.
Additional Union Relations negotiations experience preferred.
Ability to interact effectively with business leaders and employees.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership ability
Solid PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point skills
