About this Role
Rapyd is looking for a dynamic, high impact Business Development and Sr. Sales Manager who is technically savvy, creative, with a strong personal vision, and great people skills.
As an early member of the Brazil / Americas team, you will be asked to wear many hats, including developing country and regional go-to-market strategies, cultivating strategic partners at all levels of the payments and commerce ecosystem, and developing a merchant pipeline to deliver volume across our global network.
This isn’t a turnkey role, you will get to write the book on how we can scale this business from the current strong initial volumes and use cases we have today to a strong multi-billion dollar payments company.
Must enjoy the hustle and the hunt, while this is a strategic role working with large scale enterprise clients and partners, you must be excited by pursuing and delivering revenue.
Developing and pursuing your own pipeline of partners and potential clients
Leveraging Rapyd’s foundational capabilities to uncover client needs and managing multiple client stakeholders across the enterprise sales cycle
Cultivating and managing relationships with financial & channel partners
Coordinating across multiple internal and external stakeholders to own’ the sales and business development cycle from delivery to go-live’ to account management
Creating and delivering personalized presentations
Evangelizing the product and our network with key constituents
Informing the product roadmap based on the partner’s needs
Representing Rapyd at partners and conferences
Building the Rapyd brand in the region and with the partner community
Innovating solutions with advanced and specialized partners
Developing the regional pipeline business and go-to-market strategy
Monitoring the health of each relationship against performance metrics
Must be able to talk shop’ with local and international e-commerce players, banks, lenders, fintechs, and clients who live and breathe payments every day
A self-starter, someone you can take an initial sales script and run with it
Must be a team player and able to fill in the gaps by rallying internal and external stakeholders to make things happen
Must be able to work with and without a predefined sales script(s) by developing a deep understanding of Rapyd’s product
Must have proven talent closing’ and beating measurable sales targets
Must have proven innovation experience including bringing new-to-industry products to
Must be both a curious student and a patient teacher
Must have a minimum of 5 years in Sales and Business Development
Must have at least 3 years in a client-facing role
Must have at least 3 years in the payments or high-tech industries
Must have great writing and verbal communication skills
Must be globally minded and excited by understanding how the world without a credit card works
Must be fluent in Portuguese and English. Spanish is a plus
Ability to travel domestically and internationally for 2-3 days at a time, and up to 40% overall
