Job Overview
The Partnership Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new international student recruitment channels for Shorelight programs and partner universities.
New channels may include education consultants and advisors, schools, colleges, universities and other education organisations, and prospective partners from the commercial and government sponsorship sectors.
The PDM will use existing data and their own contacts, experience and research to identify new recruitment channels that align with Shorelight Education values and objectives, conduct pitches and strategic discussions, and establish partnerships that will continue to deliver results for Shorelight Education programs into the future.
The PDM will report to the Associate Regional Director and also work closely with the regional Recruitment Manager and their team.
Responsibilities
With support from colleagues in data analytics and the regional recruitment team, produce an annual plan that aligns with Shorelight Education?
s channel expansion objectives
Assume responsibility for managing the new channel partner pipeline and accountability for the prospective partner selection process with a view to ensuring the highest chance of partner activation and assured long term results
Lead the initial approach to new prospective channel partners through pitch and strategic discussions / meetings
Establish partnerships with new prospective channel partners, through contracts or MoUs as appropriate
Though the regional recruitment team will assume the task of account management of any new channel partners signed, the PDM will be expected to actively contribute to the ongoing success of these accounts and provide support as required to ensure tangible and continuing results.
This may include but is not limited to occasional student recruitment events, staff training sessions, product update sessions and senior leadership meetings.
Qualifications, skills and experience
Bachelor?s degree ? preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations or a related area
3+ years of experience in the international education / recruitment industry in Brazil, preferably with awareness of the international student market for North America
Experience of B2B relationship management with awareness of identifying mutual wins and the importance of building influence
Proven experience in account management and preferably management of a pipeline or sales funnel
Experience of working in an organization with targets or defined performance measurements
Desire to contribute to long term organizational success and ability to work effectively across different teams and functions
Exceptional skills in the areas of communication, presentation and preferably negotiation
Willingness to conduct reasonable levels of travel as the work demands
Eligibility to work in the Brazil without sponsorship
