Vehicle Assembly Project Engineering SME (NL-20-121) : Candidate shall be a Project Engineer providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for the Space Launch System (SLS) program with responsibilities over the Vehicle Assembly Project Engineering efforts for Subsystems in the production of the Core Stages (CS) and Exploration Upper Stage (EUS).
Candidate shall support the Job Readiness and the Job Executability Assessment of the respective job. Candidate shall perform an Executability Assessment of Vehicle Assembly subsystems planning to determine if the planning will be able to support SLS program milestones according to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Candidate shall include updates on the in-progress and completed work tasks in the monthly Program Status Report.Candidate shall assist across disciplines with focus on efficiency, timely production execution and design producibility : Candidate shall evaluate planning of Horizontal Mate Tooling integration for verification that they are complete and ready to support the production flow.
Candidate shall complete all evaluations by the end of the period of performance and shall submit findings as part of the monthly Program Status Report.
Candidate shall assess Vehicle Assembly activities to develop schedule and cost savings for production planning and execution of the subsystems, considering any historical performance and lessons learned.
