Our team assesses the implications of geopolitics and government policy on technology and data flows for tech our clients.
We also conduct tech-related bespoke research and analysis for clients across a variety of industries, from industrials and consumer goods.
We are looking for an Associate to join our team. The new team member must possess :
Research acumen and commercial awareness - We deal with cross-cutting issues that frequently span different geographic regions.
Candidates should possess a breadth of knowledge on political and business issues. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to conduct focused, forward-looking research and draw concrete client implications from their findings.
This may include qualitative and quantitative analysis, including from primary sources. Candidates should also have a commercial mindset and be willing and able to support the team’s leadership in developing business pitches and proposals.
Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and diligence - Our team members must enjoy intellectual challenges, be thorough and meticulous in their work, and possess the mental flexibility to make connections and apply their knowledge to different situations.
We view a desire to deploy innovative research strategies and an eagerness to learn from team-members as indispensable qualities in a colleague.
Professionalism, management skills, and a team-oriented mindset - Candidates should have a confident, professional demeanor.
They should be self-directed and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Our team is small and has a very collaborative and collegial atmosphere, so members must be motivated by working towards a common goal and serving clients’ interests.
Familiarity with tech policy issues The ideal candidate will have knowledge of one or more areas in this space, and some understanding of core tech and data flow issues.
The candidate should also be aware of ways in which geopolitics, policy and regulation affect this space.
Preferred qualifications :
1-3 years of work experience (experience at a government agency, non-profit, global company, management consulting firm, or other client service preferred)
Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably focused on political science, economics, finance, economics, business, policy, and / or international affairs
Strong professional presentation skills including speaking, writing, and PowerPoint
Full business proficiency in English language; additional language skills are a plus
