Viasat is a global technology company with a new business unit launched in Brazil. Viasat Brasil is now looking to hire an innovative individual with an entrepreneurial spirit who can contribute to a start-

up culture and develop our satellite internet business in Brazil.

Director of Commercial Sales for Brazil in our Viasat Latin America business unit, you will oversee our commercial strategy, marketing and sales for our satellite internet service, with a focus on consumer markets.

This position will create and scale our new business by understanding our target markets, designing internet products and other value-

added services. The candidate will also manage a team of regional sales managers and field sales managers. The ideal candidate will have an in-

depth knowledge of the internet services market in Brazil, consumer marketing and understand the internet needs of local communities, especially those underserved by traditional wireline internet service.

You will possess the ability to set a vision, build a team, and employ a test-and-learn approach to execute measurable results.

You will manage and scale our direct channel, regional sales organizations and distribution channels. You will use analytics and data to inform your market approach.

Other key responsibilities include :

  • Provide ongoing feedback to our product and internal partner teams.
  • Manage field sales KPIs and be proactive to data trends
  • Analyze promotional offers and campaigns through the design and execution of strategic programs
  • In addition to strong leadership capability, achievement of our partner success objectives requires strategic agility, program management skills, and a deep interest in ecommerce products and performance optimization.

    You will hire, train, and coach our team to be a world-class acquisition team. You are a self-starter who can operate both tactically and strategically.

    Sales success requires excellent business insight, regional expertise, creativity, and technical aptitude.


  • 10+ years of experience in a consumer service industry, preferably internet, TV or home security services
  • 5+ years experience in a management position with responsibility building and supervising teams and remote employees
  • Experience in marketing to consumers, including digital marketing and online sales
  • Experience developing, forecasting and management financial metrics and budgets
  • Experience developing and managing distribution channels
  • Experience developing key benchmarks and using analytics tools in measuring business performance
  • Ability to develop, prepare and present commercial strategy using market data and business performance metrics
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally in matrixed organizations
  • Strong communication skills in both writing and speaking
  • Detailed knowledge Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • High tolerance for change
  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA or equivalent strongly preferred
  • English and Portuguese fluency required
  • Travel within Brazil required, including occasional travel to the US
