Overview
The HPE Security Engineering Group develops software to improve the security capabilities of HPE's software, service and hardware offerings.
This role is for a senior position on our SPIFFE and SPIRE development team, principally developing the open-source SPIFFE and SPIRE projects. #CTO
Job Responsibilities
Architect and develop new software components and modules from the ground up.
Maintain and enhance existing software components.
Create design documents.
Lead design discussions.
Perform code reviews.
Participate in packaging and testing of software components for releases.
Write documentation as needed for new and existing software components.
Participate in discussions and answer questions as a member of an open-source community.
Keep abreast of new technologies and best-practices. Make recommendations to the team on their adoption.
MUSTS
Desire to work in a fast-paced startup-like environment.
Be a self-starter.
Develop thoughtful and maintainable architectures for new software components and capabilities.
Be willing to work collaboratively with colleagues using Agile methodology.
Have familiarity with TLS, Certificate Authorities and related protocols.
Be able to write clear, concise code.
SHOULDS
Experience in Go.
Experience using gRPC.
Experience using Protobufs.
Familiarity with UNIX OS concepts.
Experience with Kubernetes
Degree in CS, or a related technical field.
EXTRAS
Contributed to an open-source project.
Experience programming the SDKs for one or more public-cloud platforms.
Cybersecurity experience.
