We are currently looking for a Market Development Manager, who will lead our business expansion in Southern Europe with our powerful Diode Components portfolio.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities :

  • Manage sales of Coherent's high power laser diode and components business in Southern Europe.
  • Drive professional account management, direct and with our distribution channel partners.
  • Identify new market opportunities and applications and execute on our business expansion plan.
  • Facilitate customers in choosing the right solution prepare and present compelling technical and commercial offers.
  • Support the sales and business plan development and achieve booking targets.
  • Provide accurate scheduled business forecasts and funnel management.
  • Collect market relevant data and competitive information.
  • Support marketing activities (webinars, articles, presentations, trade shows).
  • Worldwide travel as needed for customer visits, business unit visits, company meetings and trade shows.
  • Education and Work Experience :

  • Successfully completed technical studies, ideally with a focus in photonics, laser or optoelectronics competence fields.
  • Experience in business development and / or project management
  • Experience and knowledge in photonics and laser products, systems and markets.
  • Desire for active customer engagement, interest for other people and their needs.
  • High degree of self-organization with ability to prioritize and to work independently.
  • Empathic with high emotional intelligence.
  • A general positive outlook, promoting constructive response.
  • Curiosity and creativity in finding best fitting solution for our customers
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Professional English language skills mandatory. Proficient Spanish, Italian or Hebrew would be a notable plus.
  • The position is based in a home office setup or at one of our offices (e.g., Monza, Herzliya). Alternative Southern Europe locations might be considered.
