PositionPurpose & Summary

In this role, the Operations &Supply Chain (OSC) Automation Infra System Administrator within the regionaldelivery portfolio will work closely with business partners, businessteams,Global IT, CBS and 3rd party partners to enable the deliveryof process, data, and technology solutions .

The NA regional Operations andSupply Chain (OSC) team owns end to end technology solutions (both support andprojects, apps and infrastructure) primarily supporting business processes inthe ISA 95 model level 2 and 3, which includes process control systems andmanufacturing execution systems (MES).

OSC also covers scope for R&D and Transportation applications. An ideal candidate would have experienceworking with IT infrastructure hosting Rockwell, GE iFix, DeltaV and otherplant floor systems.

This Automation Infra SystemsAdministrator will commission and support multiple technologies used for theplant control systems including but not limited to Active Directory, WindowsServer 2016, VMWare (including VCenter management environments), Intel basedserver hardware, DNS, patching tools, and multiple backup technologies.

This position will work closely with othermembers of the team on projects and support, especially the network and plantsystem component consultants on design within Global IT.

Part of the deployment responsibility of thisrole will be specing and quoting new, upgraded, or lifecycled environments forpotential projects and ongoing maintenance along with ordering the properhardware and software.

This positionneeds to work independently and receive direction through monitoring ofprogress and results. The nature of theprojects and systems support within the OSC area require critical thinking,especially when multiple systems and business units are involved.

These systems are running in plants thatoperate 24x7x365, and a requirement of this position is to participate in anon-call rotation for application support.

This position requires anindividual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated competencein expectation management.

40% Operational Support

  • Provide break fix support for level 3 (advanced) Plant FloorSystem Infrastructure issues
  • Provide leadership to other team members (internal and external)for break fix support of level 2 (basic) Plant Floor System Infrastructureissues.
  • Provide guidance and develop sustainable plans for overalloperational support including patching, antivirus updates and monitoring.
  • 40% Project Delivery Responsibilities

  • Manage workload and priorities to deliver agreed upon projectmilestones
  • Provides input to staffing plans at the project-level to identifykey / required skills
  • Ensure traceability from business requirements through deployment
  • Holds project team resources accountable to their deliverables andensures project execution.
  • Preparehigh and detailed level estimations of effort in order to achieve a preferredsolution.
  • Provide guidance and oversight duringrequirements, design, build, and test phases.
  • 20% BusinessPartnership

  • Createand maintain long-term working relationships with technology teams, functionalcounterparts, vendors and business partners.
  • Effectively engage stakeholders in change management activities
  • Position can sit in multiple locations in the USA.


    MinimumRequired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field or equivalentexperience
  • 2 years experience in diverse operational, development and / orbusiness roles
  • 2 years experience supporting plant floor systemsinfrastructure within a large company
  • 2 years experience in developing integrated solutions involving process, data, and technology
  • 2 years experience with business case development
  • Abilityto travel up to 20%
  • PreferredQualifications

  • Knowledge of Agile experience in a Scrum setting
  • VMWare and / or Microsoft certifications
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience working in a business role including mergers and acquisitions
  • Experience with in-house developed and package implementations.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Change Management
  • Familiarity with Cargill’s Project Delivery Process (PDP) Methodology
  • Familiaritywith Cargill’s Requirements Analysis and Solution Design process framework.
